• Worked on sia9 ayl p295 #1-11. Please format your work properly.
• Quiz on Tuesday.

• Did vocabulary #33. Please have your vocabulary duotang in by FRIDAY.
• Handed in our homework.
• Did our Fruit Lab. Why does fruit have volts?
• Formal Lab report due on FRIDAY. If you have questions please see me. You had time to work on it in class today.
• Homework: Read sia9 p298-310.

Today in SCIENCE we:

• Did Current Events
• Did Vocabulary #32. Can you honestly tell yourself that you understand all of the words? Did you complete all of the requirements?
• Handed in our homework.
• We talked about circuits.
• Tried to build a working circuit. How did that go? What VARIABLES can affect your ability to make a working cirucuit? What are the requirements for a circuit to work?
• Homework: Do sia9 p 283 #1-9. We talked about the answers to all of these questions today. Were you able to answer the questions? You had time in class to complete this.
• Homework: Read & UNDERSTAND sia9 p 284-294. That works out to about 5 pages per day.
• Don't forget to bring a fruit or vegetable on Wednesday!

Today in SCIENCE we:

• Did current events. You should have completed at LEAST one current event for this term.
• Did Vocabulary #30. Did you alphabetize? Definition in your own words? Use the word correctly in a sentence? Include a picture?
• Got alot of work back. Are you up to date? Is the work you are handing in your best effort?
• Talked about STATIC electricity. What is it?
• What are the sub-atomic particles that move?
• Played with the van der Graaf Generater & wrote a journal entry. HOW DOES IT WORK? Why does it crackle? What are the sparks made of?
• Watched the Brainiac Video - electric fence. What happens in this video?
• Read & UNDERSTAND sia9 p272-283, omit p277. We have already talked about this content & done vocabulary related to it. You had 15 minutes of class time to do this.
• HOMEWORK: do sia9 p278 #1-8. Remember to format your assignment properly. We have already answered most of these questions, if you have trouble with these questions you need to pay me a visit & get it sorted out.
• Talked about our POTENTIAL field trip to Kananaskis. It will be by INVITE only. Please think about your behaviour in the classroom & in the hallway. How do you treat others? Teachers? Classmates? Are you respectful & responsible? If you are not handing in work, & not being the model student, person, & citizen, you will not be invited to go on the field trip & will have an assingment to complete at school for that day.

• Talked about ELECTRICITY, ELECTRONS, & CHARGES.
• What subatomic particle moves?
• Had a presentation about picking our courses for high school.
• Got a GREEN form to pick our options. If you need help, please see me. When you are finished filling it out, have YOUR PARENTS SIGN IT, and BRING IT BACK TO ME.
• No Homework this weekend. REST UP, BECAUSE IT IS GOING TO BE A BUSY FEW MONTHS.

• Did our Unit Final for Matter & Chemical Change. How did that go?
• Looked at our next unit: Electricity. Title page due TUESDAY. Do you remember all of the required elements? SPELLING. NEATNESS. Those are two big ones. What are the others?

• Did current events. We are working on the new schedule now, do you know when it is your turn?
• No vocabulary today......or was there?
• Did a journal entry about the movie Erin Brockovich, we had a list of on the board for you to include in your journal entry. 1) summarize the movie, 2) what did you think about the movie.
• Worked on our unit review. sia9 p175-176 #1-17 are due on WEDNESDAY before your unit final.
• You should be done up to question #12 before you leave class today.
• UNIT FINAL WEDNESDAY.
